Exisle Publishing is a 21-year-old, established, non-fiction publisher working in a variety of genres, including health and nutrition, self-help and personal development, military history, biography and general interest. We also have our own children’s picture book imprint, EK Books.

Over the years we have worked with interns who have often gone on to become full-time members of the team. We are now looking to develop the next generation, with a range of great positions available. All interns are unpaid for the first three months, with new terms negotiated thereafter.

Our interns receive excellent on-the-job training and enjoy real involvement in the day-to-day operation of the company. This results in broad publishing experience that is a valuable help in guiding career channels and building résumés.

Positions Currently Available:

Public Relations and Marketing intern: This position is based in our Dunedin New Zealand Office. We require a dynamic, motivated person with a flair for sales and marketing to understudy our Publicity Manager and develop publicity and marketing plans for various titles.

Editorial intern: This position is based in our Dunedin NZ, office. We need someone with excellent written English skills and a high level of organisation who can assist us to develop our NZ and global publishing list, while handling proofreading, general editorial processes and traffic management, copy-writing and much more

In addition, as we continue to establish and grow our brand in the US and UK, we require an intern in each country who will work from home, while liaising with the relevant distributor and publicist to develop our presence and work on editorial concepts.
